WHAT IS DYE SUBLIMATION?
Dye sublimation is a process where we use dye sublimation inks and 400 degree F heat. The heat vaporizes the ink and the ink molecules adhere to specific surfaces, ie, specially treated ceramics, metals, and plastics. Dye sublimation inks naturally adhere to the synthetic material of polyester. Dye sublimation is different than screen printing or any other type of photo/graphic transfer in that once the molecules have adhered to a surface they become virtually indescernible to the touch. The inks dye the actual fibers of the t-shirt and rest flush against the ceramic of a mug. Every color in the rainbow is represented in dye sublimation so there are no limits to what colors can be used. Heat and dye sublimation inks together cause the colors to "pop" therefore giving the end result a bright, vivid appearance that will not fade over time or with repeated washings. What will cause dye sublimated items to fade over time is the sun. Let us know if you plan on having any of your items in the sun for long periods of time and we will put a UV protective coating on them. HOW TO UPLOAD PHOTO
We recommend completing the check out phase before sending the photo to Mimstar. When you click on "Send your files to files@mimstar.net," you are taken from the Mimstar website to your own email program to attach your photo. This can be confusing when you are in the middle of placing your order. When you are placing your order, please be sure to put the name of your photo file in the appropriate spot on the order form so that we recognize it when we recieve it. After you have placed your order, go to files@mimstar.net and attach your photo to an email to us. Generally, it is easier for us to work with photos that are of an adequate resolution (300 dpi or more). Some email programs will ask you if you want to make the photo smaller for quicker sending time. This should not be done. Our goal is to make the ordering process as smooth as possible. We are available to answer any questions you may have during our regular business hours (Tuesday - Saturday from 10 to 5) at (805) 524-8544. Or if you are having trouble attaching a photo or if you have any questions during non business hours, please leave us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Paypal, Credit Cards, Checks. Or if you prefer, telephoning us with your credit card information is fine too. You can also email us or fax us with the information.
EXPECTED DELIVERY TIME
Unless you’ve ordered from our “Gift Shop,” delivery could take up to 1 week for your personalized items. Our goal is to get your things to you much quicker, however, and in most cases we are able to do that. We strive to have your order shipped within 48 of your placing it. Factors such as time of year and volume of orders can have an impact on the speed of your delivery. Please let us know with an email or phone call if you have a need for a rush delivery and we'll see what we can do.

Your credit card information is collected by PayPal. If you choose to contact us directly with your credit card information, we do not keep your information on hand for future orders. We shred it upon receipt of your order.
RETURNS
For orders damaged during shipment, please contact us within one week of receipt of your order to request an exchange. Because our merchandise is personalized, we have a “No Refund” policy. If you are unhappy with your purchased merchandise, we will gladly work with you to rectify the situation.
SALES TAX
California sales tax (8.25%) will be added on to all orders shipped within the state of California.
